Just So You Know - HHSC Considering A Choice of Vendors for EVV

By Heather Kennedy posted Nov 27,2018 12:43 PM

Dear Members,

As TAHC&H continues to work with the state on the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) program via regular workgroup discussions and issues as they arise on a case-by-case basis, we are pleased to share with you EVV-related news as we receive it.  Today, HHSC advised that they are working with the Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) to evaluate the possibility of expanding the pool of EVV vendors in the future, to allow providers a choice when additional programs are added to the EVV requirements as part of the 21st Century Cures Act

If HHSC and TMHP determine that this is a viable option, new vendors might be available in Fall 2019. HHSC and TMHP will provide updates on this possibility as new information becomes available; in the meantime, providers who wish to submit questions may send them to EVV@tmhp.com.

Please note: there is no impact to current EVV policies or processes. This information is being provided for your awareness only.

We will let you know as soon as we hear anything more on this exciting possibility. As always, please don't hesitate to contact TAHC&H for additional information or assistance with EVV, or anything else you might need!

Thanks,

Heather
