Please be advised that both Texas state and federal offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in observance of a Day of Mourning following the passing of President George Herbert Walker Bush. Governor Abbott has issued an
Executive Order directing the closure of state offices on December 5 and flying of flags at half-staff over state buildings and the capitol for the month of December. Governor Abbott has also encouraged Texas businesses to fly their flags at half-staff until December 31, 2018, as well.
Payments for claims that would have been issued on December 5 will be processed on December 6, as a result; claim processing will resume as usual when state and federal offices reopen on Thursday, December 6, 2018.
