Last week over 300 attendees and vendors gathered at the brand new Embassy Suites Brooks Hotel in San Antonio for 2 full days of educational sessions.
The event was kicked off on Tuesday evening with attendees gathering for happy hour drinks, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes and networking. Wednesday featured a full day of leadership training by nationally known speakers from Simione Healthcare Consultants. Their sessions presented thought provoking insight into the best practices for a running a business, managing employees, fine tuning your digital marketing strategies and some outside the box thinking for ways to increase your agency’s value using mergers and/or acquisitions as a tool for growth.
The final day of the conference featured 16 different breakout sessions aimed at all areas of home health and hospice. The sessions were packed for Palmetto GBA to discuss Targeted Probe and Educate (among other Medicare issues agencies are facing) and the EVV sessions lead by HHSC and 12 MCOs were highly interactive as well. Attendees also enjoyed education on private pay and hospice topics focused on innovative ways to succeed in the home care space.
In addition to the forward thinking education, providers were able to visit with vendors about the latest products and services that promote efficiency and best practices. Fun was also on the agenda as attendees took over 147 pictures and networked with peers gaining insight into ways to be successful from one another.
