DeafBlind Awareness Celebration June 21 in Austin

The Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) will celebrate DeafBlind Awareness June 21 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the John H. Winters Human Services Complex Public Hearing Room, 701 W. 51st St. in Austin. 

Activity Breakdown:

  • 11 a.m.-Noon: Special guest speakers will share their stories and information about deafblindness.
  • Noon-2 p.m.: Exhibitors and representatives from various agencies will be on hand to demonstrate technology and provide resource information.
  • 1 p.m.: Blind and Visually Impaired Children's Program Sensory Scavenger Hunt 

This event is open to the general public and DeafBlind Community, including families and providers, as well as HHS staff. You may bring your lunch or eat at the Chuckwagon Café on the first floor.
