Audio Conference: Fraud & Abuse Compliance Programs Now Required

When:  May 18, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM (CT)

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) says all providers must have fraud and abuse Compliance Programs.  New Conditions of Participation (CoPs) for home health agencies require them, too.  All providers; including hospices, private duty agencies, HME companies, hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, etc.; are required to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
In addition, the OIG has stated that the days of just having a Program are gone.  Providers must have updated Programs that are effectively implemented.  How can providers meet applicable requirements for Compliance Programs in ways that are cost-effective and less burdensome?  How can providers create “cultures of compliance” that the OIG emphasizes?  Are providers required to have hotlines?  What are key components of Compliance Programs? What are some common violations? What action must providers take with regard to overpayments? When are providers required to self-disclose violations and to whom?  What is the process?
Join us to address these important topics.  Participation by management and staff in this teleconference can be used to satisfy requirements for ongoing education about fraud and abuse compliance. Also, get your questions answered!
