The Texas Board of Nursing requires any nurse whose practice includes older adult or geriatric populations to complete at least 2 contact hours of CNE relating to the older adult or geriatric populations before the end of every licensing period. This two-part course explores elder abuse as well as medication management to promote health maintenance and decrease hospitalization in the geriatric population.
