Medicare is moving rapidly from fee for service payments to payment based on quality clincical outcomes. Through such mechanisms as ACOs, penalties on hospital re-admissions, other value based purchasing initiatives and pilot projects initiated through the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovations, the program is placing payment incentives for care that are based on quality patient outcomes and not quantity. Many state Medicaid programs and private insurers are following suit. Michael Cook and Heidi Kocher will discuss how your home health agency and hospice can take advantage of these initiatives and avoid being left out in the cold. This webinar is scheduled for 60 minutes with a Q & A session to follow.
