This year we bring you a virtual,
one-day, two-track conference filled with new and necessary education! We will have a special track, PHE (Public Health Emergency) Management, that will help all HCSSA providers navigate through vaccine, survey and COVID regulations. Our ICD-10-CM Coding track will keep your team updated with the newest changes to remain compliant with CMS and get the dollars you deserve!

Although these tracks are concurrent, register for the combo and be able to attend/get credit for BOTH by watching your complimentary recordings!



Two Concurrent Tracks

ICD-10 Coding

PHE Management

This track will provide essential, up-to-date information on the Public Health Emergency (PHE) for all HCSSA providers.     Session Description:  Every year we have a coding update as of October 1. This year we have new codes, new guidelines, and changes in the tabular instructions. We also have proposed changes to the PDGM regarding comorbidities. This class will include all the changes and any other new instruction we have received in the last year from the Coding Clinic plus the coding topics that cause coders to struggle. Get up-to-date, get the dollars you deserve and remain compliant with CMS.

    How do I get access to the event?
    Each registrant will be sent the session login information approximately 48 hours prior the event. Sessions will be broadcast using Hopin.

    How much Continuing Education is available with the whole event?
    Receive up to: TBD clock hour for Admin/Alt.; TBD contact hours CNEs
    Please view the schedule here to see how many CE credits each session gives.

    Will there be a Q&A?
    Questions will be handled live during the sessions allowing you to ask your questions directly to the presenters.
     
    Will there be Recordings/ When will recordings be available?
    As a registered attendee, you will be emailed access to all of the session recordings for the track(s) you registered for within one week of the live event. You will need to watch the recordings and claim your CEU credits by November 30, 2021.

    How do I get my Continuing Education credits/certificate virtually?

    In order to obtain continuing education, you must: 
    • Watch the session(s) in their entirety
    • Check in for each session using the QR code (scan with the TAHC&H App or input the numbers in the TACH&H certification manager. These are given out during each session or also available on the first page of every handout.
    • Complete an evaluation for each session
    • Claim your CE's and download your certificate on the TACH&H App or TACH&H Certification Manager. Visit our How to Claim Your Certificate FAQs for videos and step-by-step instructions on how to claim. (deadline for claiming CE's is November 30, 2021).

    Where can I find the Handouts?
    Handouts will be available on this webpage approximately 2 days prior to the sessions. A link will also be provided in your Attendee Info Email. You may also access the handouts via the TAHC&H App or the TAHC&H Certification Manager.
     
    I need to cancel my registration, will I get a refund? 
    If you must cancel your reservation for any reason, notify TAHC&H, Attn: Jessica Campbell via fax or email (jessica@tahch.org). A 90% refund will be given if written request is received by 10/13/21. A 50% refund will be given if a written request is received 10/14/21-10/19/21. No refund will be made the day of the conference or after.

    Lisa is a veteran of home care with over 35 years spent in home health and hospice, both as an RN and as an attorney practicing exclusively in home care. She is the Vice President of Quality and Education for McBee as of July 1. McBee is a full-service healthcare consulting firm providing coding and OASIS outsourcing, comprehensive medical review, and education. Lisa directs McBee's Post Acute Academy.

    Angelo SpinolaSarah Mills
    Angelo Spinola is a Shareholder with Littler Mendelson P.C., and is a lead attorney for the Home Care Practice Group. He represents home care employers across the country in various types of actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and various state wage and hour laws. Appearing on behalf of employers in federal and state courts and administrative tribunals throughout the U.S., Angelo has litigated all types of discrimination cases, including age, disability, race, national origin, sex, harassment and retaliation. Angelo’s experience also includes helping employers respond to wage and hour investigations by the Department of Labor and state agency equivalents, conducting wage and hour practices audits, developing compliance measures that minimize wage and hour exposure, and representing management in grievance arbitrations. Additionally, Angelo assists employers with promoting an issue-free work environment through counseling, training and other preventive strategies. He also conducts training on employment-related issues for management personnel, lawyers and human resources professionals. Angelo received a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.


    Petria McKelveySarah Mills
    Petria’s expertise lies in hands on experience of billing for numerous home health and hospice agencies throughout the years. She has been in the home health and hospice industry’s for over 21 years and has owned and operated Precision Medical Billing for the past 17 years. She has supervised, hired, and trained 100s of medical billing staff and speaks regularly at home health association conferences.Petria McKelvey has 20 years of experience in billing and revenue recovery for home health care and hospice agencies and 15 years as founder and owner of PMB, Precision Medical Billing, Inc. For the past 6 years, Petria travels nationwide giving seminars on billing and personally deals with billing issues on a daily basis for her clients.



    J'Non GriffinBilly Millwee
    J’non Griffin is a 34 year veteran of home care as an RN. She received her Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration in 2005. She has experience as a field nurse, director and executive with home health and hospice agencies, both large and small. J’non is certified as a Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D), Certified in OASIS competency, COS-C, Certified in Homecare Coding Specialist-Hospice (HCS-H), Home Care Specialist-Compliance (HCS-C) and is an AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM trainer/ambassador. J’non is an accredited ACHC and CHAP consultant. She has presented several webinars, and has been a nationally recognized speaker on a variety of subjects.
