As the hospice industry continues to grow, agencies will begin to see changes, both regulatory and clinical. It is vital that Hospices are prepared for these changes and part of preparing is understanding and evaluating the roles that your interdisciplinary team plays. This presentation is designed to address key concepts in the day-to-day roles of chaplains/spiritual counselors, social workers, IDG Team and the Bereavement benefit. Hospices will soon see new public quality reporting data and the ongoing increase in hospice regulatory auditing; therefore, communication is a key component to a hospice’s success, not only within the IDG team but also in the information we exchange with patients and their families. This effective communication can directly impact our success in navigating and providing high-quality and highly compliant hospice care. Join Amy Ives and her team from Peterson Hospice who will share with us how to look at your agency operations and make sensible changes to encourage success with team participation to maximize patient satisfaction and benefits. Walk away with actionable takeaways to effectively evaluate your agency and prepare for the upcoming changes.
