Webinar: Understanding and Applying Principles of Health Maintenance Activities

When:  Jul 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM (CT)

Understanding health maintenance activities, or HMAs, is vital to compliance with regulations and scope of practice in health related settings such as assisted living facilities and for outside providers such as home and community support services agencies or HCSSAs. This applies across all licensure categories for HCSSAs.

This 1.5 hour discussion will provide and delineate the definition and regulations for HMAs in the HCSSA and community health care setting as defined by the Texas Board of Nursing and in accordance with state and national guidelines for service delivery and registered nurse delegation to an unlicensed person. Time will be available for questions and answers.

This training is appropriate for administrators, supervisors, and registered nurses of home and community support services agencies and managers and nurses who work in assisted living facilities and other community settings.
