Part 1, August 26
5 Steps to Journey Forward

Speaker: Dr Anita Foster-Horne, MSW, Ph.D., Fostering Healthy Solutions, Master Caregiver Company

Session Description: Understanding the dynamics of diversity and inclusion will help shape our ability to see the blind spots that exist within. While training and mentorship expedite professional development, engaging diverse ideas, perspectives, and insight leads to improved customer experience, faster innovation, and greater retention rates. This is true when implicit bias does not block the view. Diversity measures our ability to share differences, build relationships, and be creative thinkers. Inclusion measures our ability to embrace these differences through participation. The world is on the cusp of change and the future requires leaders willing to see beyond the surface. Today is a new day, a new experience, a new opportunity, a new wave of leadership. Choose to join the wave to become a new leader. Journey forward...aware of past concerns, informed of current needs, and prepared for the future.
