Both HCSSA administrators and registered nurses are often confused by the regulatory compliance requirements for delegation by a registered nurse in the varied settings where home care is delivered. This presentation will provide definitions, resources, and toolbox documents to assist in demystifying RN Delegation regulations in the home care setting.
Although not a prerequisite, attendees are asked to read rules at 22 Texas Administrative Code Chapters 224 (relating to Delegation of Nursing Tasks by Registered Professional Nurses to Unlicensed Personnel for Clients with Acute Conditions or in Acute Care Environments) and 225 (relating to RN Delegation to Unlicensed Personnel and Tasks Not Requiring Delegation in Independent Living Environments for Clients with Stable and Predictable Conditions).
This course is appropriate for administrators at all experience levels and with all categories of HCSSA licensure.
