COVID-19 has elevated infection control practices front and center on the national stage!  Additionally, home care must continually adjust their policies and staff education to reflect ever-changing guidance on acceptable PPE practices and COVID-19 transmission factors.  Join Infectious Disease physician, Shahbaz Hasan, MD, Amity Hospice, along with TAHC&H Clinical Practice Committee representatives Joni Smith, RN, CHPN and Shawn Hamilton, RN, BSN, COS-C who will highlight “a day in the life of a home care professional & paraprofessional” performing home care visits by demonstrating hands-on, real-world best practices regarding the use of PPE, proper bag technique and overall compliance with infection control principles.  Dr. Hasan will bring a fresh perspective from the science of infectious disease to consider when developing policies. There will also be invaluable takeaways, including an Infection Control Checklist and a home care centric video for staff training with step-by-step instructions for donning/doffing PPE and proper bag technique.

This webinar was developed with the Home Care Professional in mind!  PAS, Licensed Home Health and Licensed & Certified Home Health and Hospice agencies will find the general infection control principles along with the PPE education and videos instructive for all levels of home care workers.
