Just before the new year, the TAHC&H Board of Directors kicked off a membership call to action in order fund an actuarially sound study on Medicaid home therapy.
This past week, $10,750 in donations have been received bringing our total to $22,620! With these funds, TAHC&H was able to retain the services of Dr. Steven Palmer of Waterloo Research and Consulting. He has begun analysis on the first deliverable of the study: rates. If we reach our $30,000 goal, the study will also incorporate data on access to care and utilization.
To fully fund the study, we must raise $8,000 more! Please give today!
Without sound data, therapy rates could be only the beginning of home care service cuts. In a legislature looking for 4%-10% budget savings, we cannot stand idly by as home care services are cut without accountability. Please be reminded of our association's 'Unified Power of Purpose'!
Thank you to this week's givers: PSA/Reach Pediatric Therapy, Cornerstone Pediatric Therapy, KidsCare Therapy, Sage Care Therapy Services, Small Hands, Big Hearts Pediatric Therapy, Therapy2000, Texas Kids Home Therapy & Nursing. View the full list of donors here.
