Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) Regulatory Services Survey Operations just released its first survey inconsistency report.

Currently the survey inconsistency report has not received any inconsistency report and there is no data to report for the fourth calendar quarter, October-December 2016.

On April 14, 2016, DADS Survey Operations developed survey consistency reporting tool to allow ICF/IID and NF providers to report specific survey inconsistencies to DADS Survey Operations. This provider feedback tool was developed in response to provider concerns about potential discrepencies between between deficient practices found, tags cited during surveys, and possible regional differences in interpretation and application of rules and regulations.

The survey consistency reporting tool may be filled out by Home and Community Services Support Agencies (HCSSAs).

Guidance for the feedback tool is available in Provider Letter No. 16-13, New Tool for Reporting Survey Inconsistencies.
