On Nov. 1, 2016, Texas Health and Human Services expanded managed care to most children and young adults enrolled in the Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP). Because of this transition to managed care, HHSC will cancel MDCP-related contracts effective Feb. 1. This cancellation includes MDCP and Consumer Directed Services (CDS)/MDCP contracts, and MDCP funding under Transition Assistance Services (TAS) contracts. A few contracts providing MDCP services to people who turn 21 during the month of January won't be cancelled until the end of February.

Cancellation letters will be sent to affected providers after the middle of January.

Email questions to community.servicescontracts@dads.state.tx.us or you may contact the CCS voice mailbox at 512-438-3550.
