5 Pre-Claim Review States Come Together Again in Solidarity against Pre-Claim Review

The five states affected by the Pre-Claim Review Demonstration (PCR), wrote another letter to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services urging them to completely halt PCR and to immediately include Illinois in the delay.  This letter sends a strong message that the states are unified in their concern about PCR.  This letter will also be used by the states to show consensus concern to legislators in attempts to gain more co-sponsors for the recently filed PUSH Act (Pre-Claim Undermines Senior’s Health Act).

As previously reported, TAHC&H in concert with all of the State Associations and the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC), worked together with Price’s office to get this bill filed.  Texas came out in strong support of the bill by having 3 powerful Texas co-sponsors on the bill.  The Pre-Claim Undermines Seniors’ Health (PUSH) Act (H.R. 6226) is co-sponsored by Rep. Kenny Marchant (R-TX-24), Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX-1) and Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-TX-13).  We have many more Texas members interested in co-sponsoring this bill.   TAHC&H has been working with the entire Texas Delegation, to garner support for the bill prior to last night's filing.

It is important to let your legislators know TODAY and next week that they need to support the PUSH Act and sign on to the bill.  Click here to write or call your legislator.
