The Self-Determined Aggregate Cap Limitation Form is due to your MAC no later than February 28, 2019. Texas’ MAC is Palmetto GBA. Any hospice provider who does not report their self-determined aggregate cap by February 28, 2019 will be subject to a payment suspension. Pay special attention to the change in the cap year for 2018 – October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. If using the streamlined method, the beneficiary ID Period will now be the cap period, except for new/termed providers. Each provider will also need to include PSR Summary Reports 81A & 82A.
Palmetto GBA encourages providers to file your form early to avoid payment suspension. New this year: Providers will be required to obtain their own PS&R data in order to complete the Self-Determined Hospice Cap report. Palmetto GBA WILL NOT furnish this data to all providers as done in prior years. If you do not have access to the EIDM system, you should register now. Information about registering can be found on the CMS website
The cap for 2018 only applies to hospices certified on or before October 1, 2017. The first cap period for providers certified after October 1, 2017 is the 2019 cap report and will be due February 29, 2020.
