Home and Community Support Services Agencies licensed to provide Personal Assistance Services (PAS) have unique questions and challenges in implementation of the licensing standards. The road to enhanced compliance requires knowledge, planning, review, and documentation. This series, delivered in one-hour webinars over an eight-part series, examines examples of non-compliance in the most frequently cited violations for PAS agencies. Administrators and alternate administrators in a PAS agency will learn how to view and interpret the minimum standards, how to measure effectiveness in the agency before a surveyor arrives and be given time to ask questions.
This training is appropriate for PAS administrators and supervisors at all experience levels.
The webinar series will cover:
1. Personal Assistance Services: Overview of minimum standards and requirements
2. Individualized Services Plans
3. Staffing Policies
4. Verification of Employability/Use of Unlicensed Personnel: Performance and Documentation
5. Complaints and Self-Reported Incidents of Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation
6. Infection Control
7. Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement
8. Survey Preparedness and Agency Cooperation with a Survey
9. Bonus Session: How Was the Journey? A follow-up discussion to the PAS Enhanced Compliance Series (July 16th, 12:00-1:30pm)
