March on Washington with TAHC&H to Promote Home Care

By Elyse Fulton posted Jan 26,2017 04:52 PM

Health care is changing very fast. With a new administration, new 115th Congress, and a new legislative agenda, it is critically important our industry has a loud voice. Advocating to Members of Congress in Washington, DC will help us ensure that home care is not left behind and represented as changes occur.

Sign up for the TAHC&H March on Washington taking place March 6-9 in Washington, DC!

Itinerary
Monday, March 6: Evening reception at the offices of Akin Gump to review the visit schedule, talking points, and current legislation.
Tuesday, March 7: Legislative visits on Capitol Hill.
Wednesday, March 8: Legislative visits on Capitol Hill.
Thursday, March 9: Legislative visits on Capitol Hill.
*Visit schedule will be finalized closer to the event. Additional advocacy opportunities such as fundraisers will likely be available.

Travel
Members must make their own travel arrangements to DC. Typically advocates arrive Monday and leave Thursday afternoon. Reagan airport is considered more convenient than Dulles airport.

Lodging
We recommend staying close to Capitol Hill. It is advised to check homestay and travel websites like airbnb, homeaway, vvro for the best deals. For hotels, we suggest Capital Hill Hotel, The Liaison, Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, and The Mayflower Autograph Collection.
