This Wednesday, over fifty home care & hospice advocates marched on the Texas Capitol for our Kick-off Lobby Day! Advocates met with dozens of legislators and their staff representing districts all over the state. Among the issues we promoted were increased funding for community care programs, restoration of Medicaid therapy rates, and increased transparency in Medicaid Managed Care. View the photos here!
TAHC&H encourages all members to reach out to their state and federal legislative offices before, during, and after lawmaking sessions. Visiting with your legislators educates them on current issues and goes a long way in promoting home care as the leading solution for health care. Legislators need to know about the services you provide, your business operations, and the patients you serve in their district.
