TAHC&H members came to the Texas Capitol this week from home care agencies in Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, the Rio Grande Valley, and East Texas. 10 advocates attended the Lobby Day advocacy event, once again showing their dedication to the success of home care!
As the Legislative Session and budget process heats up, our TAHC&H members advocated for the following:
- Oversight in Medicaid managed care by co-sponsoring SB 1776/HB 3982
- Support community care by voting for any budget amendments to increase funding to community care or to give regulatory relief from Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)
- Support speech, occupational, and physical therapy services by voting for the supplemental budget bill, HB 2, and supporting riders 209 (Medicaid Therapy Services Reporting), 210 (Therapy Services Reporting Accuracy), and 212 (Adjustment of Therapy Rate Reductions)
- Support any budget amendments to give funding to Home and Community-Based Services
