Members,
As a reminder, the Medicaid Continuous Enrollment flexibility is ending on March 31, 2023. Some beneficiaries may need to submit a new application, and some will only have to complete a renewal packet. Beneficiaries will receive a notice or a request for information from HHSC that may include completing an application or renewal form, or a request to provide additional verification. It's important to help patients watch for these notices and educate on actions that need to be taken to prevent loss of coverage and/or significant gaps in coverage after March 31, 2023. These notices are mailed in a yellow envelope that says Action Required in red. If the patient gets a notice, they must follow the instructions to complete and return the information as soon as possible. This will ensure that their benefits continue if they remain eligible. If they do not complete the renewal packet and send it in as required, they will most likely lose their benefits or experience a significant gap in coverage.
