An action alert has been added to the TAHC&H action alert center! Congressman Kenny Marchant (R-Dallas) has introduced the bipartisan Home Health Documentation and Program Improvement Act to address and correct the Face-to-Face documentation requirements. This bill, also known as H.R. 2663, is now working its way through the committee process in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Help fix the Face-to-Face rule & backlog! Call your Member of Congress today to co-sponsor the Home Health Documentation and Program Improvement Act!

Even if your agency does not provide services through Medicare or have to comply with the Face-to-Face rule, please support your fellow providers in the industry by taking action. Simply input your information in the action alert center, dial the provided legislative office contact, and follow the talking points.

The Texas Association for Home Care & Hospice has been working with Congress on our industry's longstanding priority to find an acceptable solution to the requirements developed and administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for a physician to have Face-to-Face encounter with a home health patient. The current interpretation by CMS is placing burdens on providers, creating an unnecessary backlog of appeals and significantly limiting patient access.

It is critical that we drum up bipartisan support for this bill in order to begin fixing the troubles Medicare providers have faced complying with the Face-to-Face rule. We must support Congressman Marchant's efforts to pass this legislation as soon as possible!
